The Alamo movie theater was built in 1890 and still remains a popular place for good food, fun events, and live music. The marque shines for all to see! On March 25, 2021 an EF-4 tornado, the strongest in Georgia in a decade, struck Coweta County and caused severe damage to our small town. The Alamo rallied, as did everyone, and the community came together to clean up and rebuild. The sign proudly proclaims: Newnan Strong!
