Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church (original painting)
5.5" x 5.5" small, square study
Medium: Graphite and acrylic paint on weathered wood
ABOUT THE SUBJECT: The historic Presbyterian Church is a standing landmark of Five Points in Franklin, Tennessee's downtown. The church began in the early 1800's and has seen many changes and growth in itself and in the area. It has been well preserved and shares a rich history serving the community. You can't miss the tall tower, the stained glass and the red icon of Franklin. The stone wall and gate are part of the charm and it sets the theme that is found throughout this old, southern town located just south of Nashville.
These small paintings look great to hang together in groups, or they can sit on a shelf. I like to create these as quick studies to work out color and detail. Back is finished with a sawtooth hanger. Perfect gift items!
